Communicates flexibly offering impressive freedom of choice

The FR-E700 is a small unit with an output of up to 15 kW. But what really stands out when you take a closer look in the manual, is its flexibility. The series has RTU Modbus as standard, but can be connected to all de other ordinary field buses via exchangeable option cards. Built-in functions for managing heavy starts and lowering loads make the FR-E700 the ideal choice for many various operation situations. Other extinguishing features are:

  • Sensorless Vector Control
  • Avancerad Autotuning
  • Integrated  USB port
  • Compact assembly (side by side)
  • Surrounding temperature 50°C
  • Modbus RTU communication

Output range:

  • 0,4-15kW, 3-phase 380-480V

The new generation of frequency inverters – no “lemon” guaranteed

Mitsubishi Electric strives for quality all the way, and frequency inverters are no exception to the rule. Continuous tests are being made of new models in the 700 series, both when it comes to main components and the end-product. And we are not talking random samples. Each individual frequency inverter is quality-tested more than 300 times!

A long life design means an expected longevity for at least ten years, which is unique to the industry. The manufacturing process is reliable, with both human and mechanical surveillance. The functional test of circuit and power cards ensures that all functions work. And the self-diagnostics makes the frequency inverters automatically sense how much capacity remains in the various components so that maintenance may be scheduled.

Heavy start elegantly managed

The frequency inverter measures the motor’s data without actually running it, and stores the data for perfect adaptation and performance. Operations with large mass or large and varied basic elements are controlled down to frequencies of 1 Hz.

Raw strength in the starting moment is achieved by combining backlog compensation with vector operation. This also provides the equivalent power when braking. This frequency inverter is especially well-suited for positioning due to its control features and speedy processors.

Lifts and quick stops

Energy is generated in lifts and when lowering cargo. This applies when heavy masses are quickly stopped. The excess energy must be taken care of. The FR-E700 has a built-in brake transistor which is connected to an external brake resistance in order to burn off excess energy. Hence, the motor can be retarded quickly, saving time for you. A dynamic brake with direct current for two motor windings offers extra brake capacity at stops.

Maximum flexibility

Increase your performance and flexibility with option cards, for example, digital input, analogue output and the 2-port RS485. The option cards are easy to assemble with a plug in-function, and can just as easily be replaced with standard cards.

Communication and networks

FR-E700 can be controlled through a USB port and the RS485 interface (Modbus RTU) or through standard network solutions like Profibus DP, DeviceNet, LonWorks and CC-Link.

Beijer Electronics can offer network solutions for the Mitsubishi Electric control systems with pertaining operator terminal applications. For each project, there will be a Get Started-document available, describing installation, connection and suggestions for usage
