Phase out of MELSEC FX2N after 10 successful years on the market

After more than 10 years on the market, Mitsubishi Electric announces that a phase out of the successful FX2N series main units will start from beginning of January 2009.

The whole range of FX2N series main units can be replaced with main units from FX3U series, and FX3U series will cover all shipping approvals that FX2N series have from January 2009

Please note that FX2NC series main units together with FX2N(C) series extension modules and special function modules will not be phased out.

Phase out schedule for FX2N- series main units:

1st. step, January 1st. 2009:
10% price increase for all FX2N series main units. This will be valid for all new orders, and customers with contract net prices will be contacted for further discussion.

2nd. step, June 1st. 2009:
Stock reduction, increased standard LED time to 3 months.

3rd. step, January 1st. 2010:
Production stop for commercial units, FX2N series main units will become spare parts. Mitsubishi Electric guarantees delivery of spare parts and repair acceptance until December 2015.
