Encapsulation to meet your needs

Beijer Electronics can supply frequency inverters in encapsulated format for mounting directly on the wall in factories, pump houses or offices.

With the correct encapsulation, installation can be in damp and dusty environments. No additional installations are necessary in cabinets.

Accessories such as servicing breakers, main switches and transitions from aluminium to copper cabling are easy to fit. If breakers for manual and automatic operation, multi-pump operation or other standard solutions are required, these can be supplied on request. We aim to offer flexibility and can supply encapsulation meeting the IP20, IP34 and IP54 requirements.

Encapsulation to meet your needs
Whether IP20, IP34 or IP54, we can supply whichever encapsulation you need.

Encapsulation to meet your needs

IP20 encapsulation

For installation in technical rooms and installations to which only qualified staff have access. It is not possible to come into contact with electrically conductive material. Locked space.

IP34 encapsulation

For installation in most areas, such as production premises, offices and pumping stations. Whatever angle it may be, water sprayed on the cabinet cannot force its way in. Nor can particles larger than 2.5 mm enter.

IP54 encapsulation

For installation in areas such as production premises, offices and pumping stations. Whatever angle it may be, water sprayed on the cabinet cannot force its way in. Protects against dust.

Other standard arrangements, such as multi-pump operation, operation of several motors from one frequency inverter, etc. can be supplied on request.

Overview of sealing grades

Table showing an overview of the various IP classifications. We have only taken two of the figures in this review, but must say that there is a third figure as an option. The third figure refers to the entry of gases and is not normally needed.

First figure
Protection of equipment against solid particles: Personal protection against hazardous parts with:
0
No protection No protection
1
> 50 mm diameter Hand contact
2
> 12,5 mm diameter Finger, 12,5 mm diameter
3
> 2,5 mm diameter Tool, 2,5 mm diameter
4
> 1,0 mm diameter Wire, 1,0 mm diameter
5
Dust-protected Wire, 1,0 mm diameter
6
Dust-tight Wire, 1,0 mm diameter
Second figure
Protection against harmful ingress of water:

3
Rain/drops at an angle of up to 60°
4

8
Long term immersion (stated water pressure)
